Golf Tournament at the Madison Club June 5. The best-ball tournament attracted 124 golfers, with additional guests attending the steak dinner
afterwards. The Board of Directors last year voted
to name the long-time Chamber event after the late
Melvin Bassi in honor of his passion for education
and his loyal relationship with the Chamber. During the program, remarks were made by Chamber Vice President Rick Mudrick and Brad
Bassi, son of Melvin Bassi. Organizers of the event
then presented the team awards and skill prizes.
The first place team received engraved crystal tro-
phies bearing the Bassi Tournament logo and pass-
es for 18 holes of golf at the Madison Club. Winners were: First place team: J & J Transmission, cap- tained by Jim Laskey, John Albright, Mark
Sylvester and Derrick White, team score of 54. Second place team: Mon Valley Foods, cap- tained by Archie Allridge, Curt Collins, Matt
